WordPress Invoicing Plugins

A WordPress invoicing plugin allows you to create invoices and receive payments right from your website. This can be a time saving addition to your workflow while making your business look more professional.

Sliced Invoices

Sliced Invoices is a free WordPress plugin that allows you to quickly send invoices and receive payments from your clients. It includes a number of pre-designed invoice and quote templates, a beautiful reporting system, and numerous customization options out-of-the-box.

The free version allows you to receive PayPal payments from your clients, and a number of other premium extensions are available if you’re looking for other payment processors like Stripe or Braintree.

Sprout Invoices

Sprout Invoices is the original WordPress invoicing plugin. It is the most feature-rich option and also the highest rated plugin on the WordPress.org repo. It has over 150 five star reviews!

While there is a free version of Sprout Invoices, you’ll need to pay for a premium license if you want to accept credit or debit card payments. They’re not cheap but do include all of the payment processors and methods you could wish for – including ACH Bank Transfers!

WP Invoicing

WP Invoicing is a free, lightweight option that is great for European users as it includes automatic VAT capabilities.

Other features that are unique with WP Invoicing are API invoice creation, automatic reminders, and view notifications (you’ll know when your client has viewed their bill). PayPal Standard, Authorize.Net, WordPay and Pre Bank Transfer are included for free.

WP-Invoice lets you send itemized invoices to your clients while accepting credit card payments via a number of processors.

Invoices are created via your WordPress dashboard and sent to your customer via email once generated. While WP-Invoice is limited in terms of features, we do like that there are so many payment options in the free version. Authorize.net, PayPal, Stripe, and 2Checkout are all included for free.
