How to Add Fonts to Google Docs [2023]

The fonts used in a blog post and a business report don’t necessarily need to be the same. Font variations are useful to change the outlook of your document depending on its purpose. Word processing tools offer a wide collection of fonts, but that might not be the case with Google Docs. You can use a handful of fonts in Google Docs by default. To use different fonts, you need to add them to your Google Docs first.

So… how do you add fonts to your Google Docs? In this guide, we will go over the multiple steps needed to add the font of your choice to Google Docs.

Step 1: Open a document and select all text by pressing Ctrl + A.
